Spurs Celebrate Fourth Title
The San Antonio Spurs and their fans celebrated the team's fourth NBA championship filling the banks of San Antonio's famed River Walk with black, white and especially the gold of the team's championship trophy.

"I'm so happy - I feel very blessed and it's a privilege to play with a great team," said French point guard Tony Parker, who brought his finals MVP trophy with him on one of the early barges of the river parade. "Hopefully we'll do it again next year."

The Frenchman was the star of the evening who rode through the River Walk with his fiancée Eva Longoria, the superb actress who stars in the television series, "Desperate Housewives."

The Sunday evening parade saw the San Antonio Spurs floating in barges in the city river as thousands of fans gathered to celebrate and congratulate their favorite team.
The show moved to the Alamodome, the Spurs former home where nearly 60,000 fans gathered to celebrate the basketball world champions..

One of the world’s greatest tenors Placido Domingo sang a mariachi version of the national anthem, leading the fans in chants of “Go Spurs”.

"The energy that those guys (the fans) give you, all the emotion, it's beautiful, so it's good for us to have the opportunity to go and see many or most of them and say thanks," Ginobili said after the parade.

The Spurs also won the NBA championship in 1999, 2003 and 2005 becoming the latest franchise dynasty.
