A special movie premiere took place at the Odeon Leicester Square
in London. The
glittering World premiere of “Sex and the City” provided a rare chance to see
the movie’s stars in person at a single event. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia
Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis, reunited before this event at a benefit
for the Point Foundation at Capitale on April 9 in New York City.
“We're having a kind of smallish premiere here; we're having
a smallish premiere in Berlin.
We're building to the New York premiere which
is enormous and happens just before the film opens worldwide,” said Cynthia
Nixon, who plays Miranda in the film, at the London premiere.
Jessica Parker attracted the lights of the cameras,
following her character Carrie Bradshaw’s eccentric sense of style. She wore a
garden-inspired Philip Treacy hat. Her hat matched with a pale green dress by Cynthia
Nixon, an outfit the character interpreted by her would have loved
to wear.
“Professionally it's been the best 10 years of my life. I
wouldn't have wanted to have done it any differently with any different women
or any different men,” Parker said. “So it's been glorious.”
Her co-star Kim Cattrall chose red Vivienne Westwood,
Cynthia Nixon chose black Calvin Klein and Kristin Davis wore a vintage fuschia
dress. Thousands of fans admired the three ladies, known as Samantha, Miranda
and Charlotte.
The hottest film of the year opens on May 30 in the United States and it is scheduled to be released
in the UK
on May 29.
