Anne Heche’s money supply doesn’t permit her to pay the child support of her son any longer. Apparently, the actress has severe problems with finding
a job. Heche is supposed to pay $14,798 each month in child and spousal support.
She has a 6-year-old son with former husband, 34-year-old Coley Laffoon.
Apparently this situation has lasted for a relatively long time: "Since
January 18, 2008, I have been unemployed and had no income from unemployment
except for one very short term contract for a movie role for which I received a
total of $65,000, approximately the amount I received for one episode of ‘Men in
Trees’, People Magazine reports.
Wednesday, Superior Court Judge Gail Ruderman Feuer approved for the
actress not to pay her July support payment to Laffoon. The Los Angeles Superior
Court has learned through a declaration filed by the actress today, that she owed
more than $360,000. Moreover, Heche declared that she had an amount of only $34,840.93
in her accounts.
As for a job proposal, Anne said that she had no offers. "I
am continuing to look for work, but I have no offers pending and the impending
strike by the Screen Actors Guild reduces my prospects for work even further.”
However, the actress admitted that she still received residuals
from previous acting works, which she used for recurring business expenses. Heche’s expenditure list includes private tutorial for
her son, whose name is Homer, rent for her Los Angeles
home, a mortgage on her Vancouver
abode and also personal expenses. In January, Heche and her ex-husband sold their
Hollywood home,
for which the actress received some $240,000. But, she claims that this money was
spent a long time ago. Heche and Laffoon share joint custody of Homer.
