Amy Winehouse Pulls Out Of Coachella Music Festival
British songstress Amy Winehouse, who was scheduled to perform at this year's Coachella Music Festival, will be unable to honor her invitation due to legal trouble.

Amy Winehouse blew her chance to make a comeback in the U.S. after the American Embassy in London has denied her a visa due to her current legal troubles.

"It's almost certain Amy won't be playing in America for the foreseeable future. But she now knows she has to concentrate on rebuilding her reputation here [in the UK]," A source told British newspaper The Sun.

Last week, Winehouse was charged with assault stemming from a September 2008 incident in which she allegedly punched fan Sherene Flash after she requested a picture of the singer. The singer is due in court next week.

The singer's rep, Chris Goodman, announced in a statement that his client "cannot go because of current legal issues" and that her "legal case would not be sorted out in time for her to make the music fest." However, the 25-year-old singer has been confirmed as a major act at a 50th birthday celebration of her British record label, Island, on May 31. She will take to the stage at the last of a series of concerts, playing London's Shepherds Bush Empire.

Last year, Amy was denied a U.S. visa for her drug problems. She wasn’t able to play at the Grammy Awards, even though she was nominated for six awards, and has won five. Though the decision was later reversed, it was too late for Winehouse to make it to the 2008 Grammys, and performed live via satellite from London.
