Amy Winehouse’s mother believes in healing in the middle of
one’s family, as she addressed her daughter a public letter that appeared in a
Sunday newspaper.
The letter of Janis Winehouse was published by News Of The
World, and was meant to tackle the soul artist’s return home as the resolving of
a series of personal traumas. Amy held headlines approaching her drug and
alcohol consumption, rehab and the last week she was photographed on the
streets of London
wearing nothing more than jeans and a bra.
Moreover, the artist canceled all the remaining gigs scheduled
for this year, explaining that she couldn’t gibe her best on stage when her
husband was in custody and not alongside her. Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy’s hubby,
is in custody on charges of violent bodily harming a pub landlord and trying to
pervert the course of justice.
In the public plea Janis Winehouse begs her daughter several
times to return home, where her family can take better care of her, stressing
that her current condition could be alleviated only her personal determination
triggered it. She also highlighted that it is humanlike to make mistakes, but
is also human to seek help. “Remember you're just an ordinary human being, no
stronger than any of the rest of us,” she wrote. Although the 24-year old Amy
is a superstar, she is still “young and vulnerable.”
Winehouse has recently received six nominations for the Grammy
Awards, a record for a female British artist.
