Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins last week. Jolie gave
birth on Saturday, 10 days after she checked in at the Lenval hospital in Nice,
France, on July 2. Son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline were born by
caesarean section and both were very healthy.
On July 19, early in the morning, Jolie and Pitt
left the clinic Santa Maria of Foundation Lenval together with their healthy
twins. Vivienne Marcheline weighed 2.27 kg and Knox Leon weighed 2.28 kg.
During the birth, Brad Pitt, 44, was in the room
where his wife, Angelina Jolie, 33. He cut the umbilical cords himself, as
doctor Michel Sussmann reported for Reuters. In addition, Pitt was very calm
during the operation and stayed beside his wife, supporting her.
Jolie left the hospital unseen by the reporters,
cameramen and photographers who waited outside the hospital, on Promenade des
Anglais, hoping to capture photos of her or the babies.
Both the mother and the babies were fine, as Dr.
Sussmann said after a checkup on July 14.
Pitt and Jolie, together with the two new-born
babies, have rented a 17th century villa in Proovence, named Château
Miraval, where they will stay until they return to the U.S. in the fall.
Brangelina couple, as the two were named by the
reporters has other four children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh and they want
to sell the new babies’ photos for $11 million to a U.S. publication. They will
donate the money to charity.
