Angelina Jolie had checked in at the Lenval Santa Maria maternity clinic to be under doctor’s surveillance while she rests before she gives birth. Media reports say the actress will likely remain in the hospital until she gives birth.

“There’s no urgency. It’s been planned for a long time,” Nadine Bauer, a hospital spokeswoman told the Associated Press. “She’s very well. Everything is fine. She is not on the verge of giving birth, not at all. It’s not for right away.”

“The visit has been planned for a long time, there are no complications. She is just resting,” Bauer added.

The 33-year-old actress and her partner, Brad Pitt, are expecting their fifth and sixth children to join the team of four children: 6-year-old Maddox, 4-year-old Pax, 3-year-old Zahara and 2-year-old Shiloh. The babies are due in August but twins are often born early.

The couple recently moved in southern France after signing a three-year lease for a 880-acre chateau, the Miraval Estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region.

Jolie acknowledged for the first time that she was pregnant with twins during an interview at the Cannes film festival, where she was promoting the animated film “Kung Fu Panda” and the thriller “The Exchange.” Jolie said on the Today show that she loves being pregnant and that pregnancy makes “you fell more like a woman that you’ve never felt.”
