A recent article from the
German-language newspaper “Financial Times Deutschland” has left us all
wondering what the next surprise Apple is preparing for us will be. “Financial
Times Deutschland” has started to speculate when Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs has met
Volkswagen’s CEO Martin Winterkorn few days ago. Although nobody quite knows
why the two CEOs have met and what they have discussed, the German newspaper
has started to spread one of the most fascinating rumors ever, that of the
American high tech company’s partnering with the German car-maker for an
ultimate collaboration over a so called “iCar”.
Furthermore when Volkswagen’s
representative has confirmed for the German newspaper that the discussions
between the two companies are at an “early stage”, the rumor has started to go
crazy. But could this really be possible? “Financial Times Deutschland” has
even reported that the two companies are planning to create the car so that it
could cost less than $10,000.
Still, everything sounds merely
strange. On the other hand some annalists are saying that this rumor is nothing
more than a speculation and that Volkswagen and Apple has always been in good
relations. They say that the German newspaper is just speculating and that
Apple and Volkswagen might in fact discuss only about continuing their deal
involving VW cars already equipped with Apple’s high technology devices.
