Apple iTunes Sells Band Catalog in App Stores
Apple iTunes Sells Band Catalog in App Stores

The alternative rock group from the ’90, The Presidents of the United States, didn’t get so much success back then. Yet, they have now offered their entire catalog of music to be sold through the Apple App Store. Thus, the rock band might gain the success they wanted so much.

They had made their music catalog as an app which is now available for the iPhone and the iPod touch. The PUSA app has been created by Melodeo from Seattle and offers the four albums that the band had released, besides the extras and the exclusives which would be updated. The app is now available for $2.99.

Apple too approved this application for sale in its iTunes stores and this app might also offer a new method to send digital music for customers who are concerned about controlling their own music. The Apple iTunes stores is already giving DRM-free music to be purchased, but some of the customers are still worried about buying some music that they can’t take any place they go to.

Still, it’s a fact that the PUSA application isn’t the one to solve the situation and it makes some of the customers who buy it to be even more limited in how they listen to their music. They can only listen to it with the help of any iPhone, iPod touch or any device that Apple releases on the market.

But Apple approved this app and has meant a lot for other bands, which could now offer their music in app format too. This chance is out especially for the bands which hadn’t had a lot of success at the time when they were performing and now want to show their music to the younger generation.

Not much success back then?

Uh...Clark...

Check me if I'm wrong, but we sold 5,000,000+ albums, had three Top 40 singles and got nominated for two GRAMMYS.

Dude.

Best,
