Apple’s WWDC Apparently Stuffed with New MacBooks Pro
With World Wide Developers’ Conference just around the corner, analysts have already begun speculating on what this important event will bring for Apple’s shaken up stocks.

PiperJaffray analyst Gene Munster, cited by Appleinsider.com, said on Wednesday that an official launch of the craved iPhone is out of the question, since WWDC is mainly a Mac-oriented manifestation, but added that a new line of MacBook Pro laptops is almost 100% certain to be displayed.

"While there may be rumors of an iPhone launch at WWDC, we expect Apple will host a separate event in late June to launch the device. But Apple will not fail to deliver new products at WWDC," he wrote. "Apple has announced that a full-featured version of OSX 10.5 Leopard will be demonstrated and handed out at the event. This means that we will finally see how Apple will integrate Windows operability into Leopard."

The odds for seeing new generations of iMacs and MacBooks are quite good, considering the history of the Cupertino, CA-based giant, which has been generally updating its professional notebooks every 182 days and its line of iMacs every 168 days. For reasons probably related to the debut of the famous iPhone (which has also determined the delay of Mac OSX Leopard) Apple did not release a new MacBook for 209 days now, while the current generation of iMacs is 257 days old.

According to Munster, the release of the iPhone will not be delayed, despite the recent claims and rumors published on the popular tech blog Engadget (later dismissed by Apple) that the product will be pushed back until October 2007. He said he has confirmed with Apple that the launch will indeed take place in late June, and sees no reason why the company would fail to deliver.

"The iPhone launch is set to be one of the largest product launches in company history," wrote Munster. "Both Apple and AT&T stores will sell the device (nearly 2,000 combined storefronts) and both companies will sell iPhone on their websites."
