After several weeks of intense
negotiations it seems that Apple Inc. and three top European companies have
reached the final agreements: iPhone has been reported to hit three of Europe’s largest markets to its fans’ delight.
So the first lucky European
markets that are to welcome Apple’s iPhone will be the United Kingdom, France
and Germany and the companies with which the Americans have reportedly signed
exclusive deals are Britain’s O2, France’s Orange and Germany’s T-Mobile.
The
operators have reportedly agreed on giving Apple 10% of the revenue they will
generated from the sale of the data and voice services for the ultimate smart
phone.
“Financial Times” has reported
that Apple has planned to officially announce the new deals with the occasion
of the IFA international consumer exhibition from Berlin that is to take place next in the
week.
iPhone represents one of the most
popular smart phones, although it has been launched only few weeks ago, in
June. Since its release in the United
States through the exclusive deal with
AT&T, Apple’s device has got positive reviews, but has also proved to
feature some problems, such as the fact that its battery can be replaced by
only returning the entire device to Apple.
In the United
States the phone has had also problems related to its
activation, but in Europe its fans hope that
this won’t happen again.
Apple’s iPhones are expected to
have been introduced in the European operators’ networks till the Christmas
shopping season.
