At least six people were killed and more than two dozen injured on Monday when a bomb ripped through the house of a lawmaker in Pakistan's central province of Punjab, the police said.
The explosion occurred when Rashid Akbar Nawani, a member of lower house of the parliament, the National Assembly, was meeting his supporters at his residence in Bhakar district.
"Six people are confirmed dead while more than 30 are injured," Deputy Superintendent Police, Khadim Hussain.
According to the state-run Pakistan Television, Nawani was wounded in the attack.
The nature of the blast was not determined immediately.
