Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children now!
Jolie gave birth to twins on Saturday at the Lenval hospital in Nice, France.
Son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline were born by caesarean section
and are very healthy.
Brad Pitt, 44, was in the room where his wife, Angelina
Jolie, 33, gave birth to their children. He cut the umbilical cords himself, as
doctor Michel Sussmann reported for Reuters. In addition, Pitt was very calm
during the operation and stayed beside his wife, supporting her.
Vivienne Marcheline weighed 2.27 kg and Knox Leon
weighed 2.28 kg. Marcheline was the name of Jolie’s grandmother, who died of
cancer last year.
Sussmann said that he was very nervous before
the operation, because he felt pressure of dealing with such a famous couple. “It
wasn't pressure on a medical level, because I have been practicing for a
certain number of years, but it's true that there was pressure due to the
couple's fame,” he said live on Europe 1 radio.
At the hospital, the couple had an entire
floor for the major event of the birth of their twins. Jolie arrived at the
hospital in June, from the Provence villa. The fifth floor of the hospital was
reserved for them and their entourage and dozens of reports waited outside to
report the birth and maybe to get lucky with some photographs of the children.
Jolie and Pitt have four other children, a
biological daughter, an adopted daughter and two adopted, Maddox, Pax, Zahara
and Shiloh.
The parents sold exclusive rights to the
first photographs of the twins to an U.S. magazine for $11 million which will
go to charity.
