Despite the rumors, Britney Spears' longtime agent Jason Trawick is nothing more to her than her agent, a source close to the pop singer told Usmagazine.com.

"They are absolutely, 100 percent not dating," the source said. "He is her agent, and that is it."

Last week, a story on E! News claimed that Britney and her 37-year-old agent, who recently joined Spears for the first four shows of her Circus tour, were secretly an item.  However, both Trawick and Spears' rep declined to comment, and an insider insisted the two had never even gone out on a date.

Regardless of the nature of their relationship, Trawick appears to have had a positive influence on Britney, and was instrumental in helping her reconnect with her parents.

"He has been her agent for four years, and they are very close friends," a source told E! News last week. "He gets on with her family, but there is absolutely categorically nothing romantic going on.

"Jason was on the road with Britney for three of her tour dates, but that is because that's what agents do - they support their clients. Any stories of them being together are completely and utterly made up."

The two were first quietly rumored to be together way back in November of 2006, and again last May when Trawick joined her at Mel Gibson’s Costa Rica estate.

In other Britney-related news, the 27-year-old pop singer announced that she has rescheduled her March 26 Mohegan Sun Arena show for May 3. The reschedule is due to the grand size of the show's production, including a 360-foot stage, acrobatic apparatus and intense visual effects.
