Casey Anthony was supposed to be released from jail on Tuesday but recent announcements have stated that she will still be in prison as the prosecutors couldn’t collect enough information about Caylee’s disappearance. The little girl has been missing for about 2 months and she is only 3 years old.
Tony Padilla, a bailbondsman, came all the way from California to Orlando to pay Casey’s $500,000 bond. He stated that her release wasn’t sure to be on Tuesday yet even though he filled all the documents by 9 a.m.
As the papers seemed to have been incorrectly filled, the 22-year-old woman will just have to spend another night behind bars in Orange County, Fla. Prosecutors say that Casey is a “person of interest” in Caylee’s missing so they have to keep her until they find new information to track down the 3-year-old.
Casey was arrested in Orange County a month after Caylee’s disappearance and she was charged with child neglect and lying to the authorities about her daughter missing since June 16. She lied about the place where Caylee was supposed to be and also about the woman whom she said she had the girl.
"There's a reward out there; I'm not interested in the reward. My only interest ... is to get that child back," Padilla said when he arrived on Sunday. Still, his interest might be the one to give a reality program on National Geographic Channel.
