Immersion Games and Artificial Studios have finally released the free full game CellFactor Revolution, the one they’ve been promising for quite some time. The game, available for download at http://www.cellfactorrevolution.com/, is a first person shooter that takes advantage of Ageia’s PhysX card, used at complex calculations about terrain deformation, particle flow or objects’ behavior in interactions. Although the game will also run without the PhysX card, the game will lose attractiveness and the idea is to make you want to buy one in order to see how dramatically improved the gameplay is when physics simulations are involved. The game has 5 maps, one of which has been specifically designed to bring machines devoid of PhysX cards completely to their knees. There is no multiplayer component (physical calculations and real-time rendering of object interaction would simply overwhelm any server-farm), but you will be able to play with bots using various psi powers for manipulating objects and you will also drive realistic vehicles.
