It seems like cell phones could lead to cancer, as researchers show. A cancer research institute wants people to limit their use of cell phones, as to avoid cancer risks. The director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, announced that the risk of cancer if cell phones are used is still unclear, but this should rise concern.

Children should especially be careful about cell phones use and nobody should wait for examples as to give up the harmful phones.

Important brain surgery doctors raised the same problems when they talked about the relationship between the use of cell phones and cancer, but not the causal relationship. A wide study made in 13 countries like Canada, Israel or some countries in Europe is called Interphone.

Three types of brain tumors are related to the cell phone use. Gliom is a tumor composed of connective tissue neuroglia of the nervous system and affecting the brain or spinal cord.

Another tumor produces cancer of the parotid, the salivary gland near the ear. The third tumor is the acoustic neuroma and is located where the ear and the brain meet.

Dr. Herberman advised the children to use the cell phones only for emergencies because it is more dangerous for them to get sick. Their brain is still developing. Instead of keeping the cell phone near the ear, Herberman advised the adults to use the speakerphone or hands free.
