As previously reported, child actress Dakota Fanning will grow fangs in the upcoming "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." The 15-year-old starlet will be playing the role of Jane, from the Italian vampire clan Volturi, the "royalty" of vampire world in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series for young adults. Jane is described as "a sinister vampire with an angelic exterior." Fanning had been in talks to appear in the film ever since she was offered the role in January. "It would be really cool to do it," the 15-year-old said at the January premiere of her most recent release, "Push," which was also produced by "Twilight's" studio, Summit Entertainment. "I am a very big fan of the books. I read them all and Jane is an interesting part." Upon hearing the news, fans of the vampire love story showed their full support on the new cast and even sent a petition to the moviemakers saying that the young actress would perfectly fit as Jane. Shooting for the movie, which will be directed by Chris Weitz, starts later this month in Vancouver. The movie will hit theaters in November. "We did just get a script. We're shooting the rest of the films back to back," said actress Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the film. The starlet will be joining actors Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. If the reports are true, Fanning and Stewart might act together in rock biopic "Runaways" as singers Cheri Currie and Joan Jett.
