Dalai Lama Cancels His Trips, Accuses Exhaustion
The Dalai Lama is the spiritual and political leader of the Tibetan people, according to the Tibetan Buddhism. The Dalai Lama is thought to be the current incarnation of a long line of Tulkus (Buddhist Masters). According to their beliefs, these ascended masters have chosen to be reborn to teach humanity.

Since 1959, the Dalai Lama has ruled over the Central Tibetan Administration (based in Dharamshala) and considered him to be a government in exile. Dharamshala is a small town in northern India at the foot of the Himalaya.

Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso is the 14th Dalai Lama, head of the Tibetan government. He is believed to be the reincarnation of his predecessors.  He was proclaimed the rebirth of the 13th Dalai Lama two years after he was born.

On Wednesday, the Tibetan spiritual leader accused exhaustion and canceled two international trips, which were planned a long time before. He chose to rest and undergoes medical tests, so it had to be really bad after all. The Dalai Lama, 73, has had some moments of discomfort in the past couple of days and he had to stay in bed.

He had just returned from his 11th visit to France since the Chinese want to rule in the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. He travels many times in a year to show the struggle of the Tibetans against Chinese trying to conquest them.

The Dalai Lama canceled his trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic because he needs to rest in the next three weeks. He will travel to Mumbai for medical tests and he will go to Dharamshala to recover.
