Denise Richards shattered the Sheen off her name for good.
In an attempt to leave behind everything related to ex-hubby
Charlie Sheen, Richards won a court decision that removes the name of her former
husband from her legal last name. Richards has never used it for professional
or public purposes, but she definitely wanted to return to her maiden name, and
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Harvey A. Silberman made her wish official.
Richards is also removing Charlie from her ankle. That means
that she is seeing a tattoo parlor that would alter her former sweetheart’s
name tattooed on her ankle into the tattoo of a fairy.
Since their separation, things have become bitterer and
bitterer between the two. The finalization of their divorce in 2006 did not end
any connection between them, the two being involved in an ongoing child custody
dispute over their two daughters, three-year-old Sam and two-year-old Lola.
The 37-year old actress is due to star in her own reality
show on “E!” beginning with this summer. She is also allowed to star alongside
her two daughters, which drew vehement criticism from Sheen and his family.
Sheen can currently be seen in “Two and a Half Men,” a comedy sitcom aired by
CBS.
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards tied the knot in June
2002. The “Wild Thing” star filed for divorce in March 2005, claiming that her
husband had been unfaithful to her. At the time Richards was six months
pregnant with Lola. Since their divorce in 2006, Sheen has been seeing real
estate investor Brooke Mueller and is seriously considering a wedding
soon.
