Digg Founder: iPhone 3.0 Will Have Copy-Paste Capabilities
Although we are still one day away from Apple’s official announcement on the iPhone 3.0, rumors kept rolling. Digg founder Kevin Rose said during the South by Southwest festival held in Austin, Texas, that he had confirmation of one particular feature in the update, namely the copy-paste ability.

According to him, users will be able to double-tap on a word, which will bring the iPhone’s magnifying glass out, allowing the user to extend the quotes to the text he wants to select, and then copy and paste it. The option will also include cut capabilities.

The biggest problem and probably most demanded thing in iPhone 3.0 will probably not be there. Rose said that we won’t be seeing apps running in the back in the update, although this feature might come at a later date, as Apple promised.

Furthermore, Rose said his source has also confirmed him that the new features in iPhone 3.0 will bring it to Palm Pre levels, whatever that may mean.

Well, this still isn’t enough, but more details will be unveiled tomorrow, during the official presentation, when Apple is also expected to clarify whether the iPhone 3.0 will allow MMS (as reported by BoyGeniusReport).

If we were to listen to Rose’s predictions again, there will be no MMS capabilities in 3.0, which still remains quite weird in my opinion. Furthermore, Rose also said, there will be no video capabilities. I wonder how long will it take for Apple to come up with these rather basic features?
