Don Imus Back On Air
Don Imus Back On Air

A career of thirty year can go to the dogs within an instant, even though we’re talking about New York radio icon, Don Imus, who has made a name for his ruthless remarks.

In the same time, the racist, sexist comments – blurred also by the passing of eight months - weighted less his renowned name, and thus Don Imus made his way back to NY radio again.

Starting 6 a.m. on WABC 770 AM, remorseful and apologetic, the radio star returned with a crew that also includes two black comedians, an attempt to gain redemption, and why not, success again. He highlighted that at least the aftermath of his racist comments taught him a lesson, referring to the Rutgers women's basketball team, whom he called “nappy-headed hos” in April as “innocent people who did not deserve to be made fun of.”

Moreover, he promised that neither he nor anyone in his show would say anything to make the women at Rutgers regret their forgiveness, but also added that the show would not change.

“Imus In The Morning” was shut down by CBS Radio on April 12, after his outrageous remarks addressed to the Rutgers University women's basketball team, after a lost NCAA championship game with Tennessee. His comments engendered severe chastise from civil rights activists to radio colleagues, peaking with his getting the sack.

Although Don Imus’ tongue is known for its callousness, he might be at least more attentive the next time.

I'm trying to see if most people think adding a few black comedians to Imus' show is enough to redeem him. Please go here and vote whether you think Imus is redeemed
