The MVP quarterback for the Super Bowl champion Giants Eli
Manning married college sweetheart Abby Mc Grew during an intimate ceremony at
a resort on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.
The New York Daily News reported that after the wedding
ceremony Eli Manning and his bride kicked off their honeymoon; they began the first day of the rest of their life as husband and wife having breakfast with many of the 60 guests
who witnessed their Baja beach wedding Saturday. The couple changed the original
plans, left the resort and guests said that the pair is heading off to
honeymoon at a secret destination.
All the guests were delighted with the ceremony and the
24-year-old bride in a strapless white gown with gold embroidering charmed them
all. She carried a bouquet of white roses and her bridesmaids wore Champagne-colored
strapless dresses. Manning and his groomsmen wore khaki suits and had white
roses in their lapels.
"It was the perfect night," one guest told the New
York Daily News after the party. "Abby was the most beautiful I have ever
seen her."
The wedding party took place at the One&Only Palmilla
resort's C restaurant, owned by Chicago
celebrity chef Charlie Trotter.
Manning met his future wife when they were students at University of Mississippi. Manning played college football
at University of Mississippi
after attending high school at Isidore
Newman School
in New Orleans.
He followed the family’s tradition and passion for football. His brother,
Peyton Williams Manning is also one of the best active quarterbacks in the NFL
and he plays for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.
