Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is set to replace Keira Knightley as the face of Chanel’s iconic perfume – Coco Mademoiselle. Knightley has been the face of the fragrance since 2006 and her contract is due to be ending this summer. A source at Chanel said: “Chanel have been dressing Emma for film premieres and parties in recent months to integrate her into the brand,” MTV.uk reports. The 18-year-old actress has an estimated fortune of £8 million. Britain’s The Mail reported on Sunday that Emma Watson has been “slowly integrated” into the Chanel brand. “They have been dressing her for film premieres and parties over recent months to see if she is the right fit.” It seems that the company is extremely impressed with the starlet. “Once it became clear she is growing into a beautiful young woman and wears the Chanel brand so elegantly, they had to sign her up,” the same source reports. Watson has starred as Hermione Granger, the female sidekick of Harry and Ron since the first Harry Potter film in 2001. Emma Watson is set to join the cast of period drama “Napoleon and Betsy,” this time replacing Scarlett Johansson. The movie project comes from writer-director Benjamin Ross. Emma steps into Scarlett shoes, as it was decided the role was too young for the platinum-blonde actress. However, Johansson, 23, will still produce the movie, while Watson will star as Betsy Balcombe, a young, impetuous noblewoman who falls for Napoleon during his exile to British Isle of St. Helena. Filming starts this autumn.
