Ethan Hawke’s wife has given birth to a baby
girl, Clementine Jane Hawke. The couple welcomed the beautiful girl on July 18
in New York City,
Hawke’s publicist, Mara Buxbaum said.
Ryan Shawhughes, 28, the former nanny of
the former couple Ethan Hawke-Uma Thurman, confirmed the pregnancy in January. The
37-year-old actor was married to Uma Thurman from 1998 to 2005. The two have a
10-year-old daughter Maya and a 6-year-old son Levon.
In 2006, after his divorce with Uma Thurman
was finalized, Hawke called his two kids the “greatest pleasure” in his life. The
couple separated in 2005 without much noise and they said they will remain “the
greatest of friends.” Hawke’s relationship with the former family nanny started
to develop only after the divorce.
Uma Thurman got engaged last month with London financier Arpad “Arki” Busson, the founder of EIM
Group, a fund management business and of ARK
(Absolute Return for Kids).
Hawke and Shawhughes were married last month.
The two were spotted applying for a marriage license at New
York’s Municipal
Building.
Hawke’s screen credits include: “Training
Day,” “Dead Poets Society,” “Great Expectations,” and “Before Sunset.” The
actor was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in the 2001 movie “Training
Day.” Hawke directed “Chelsea Walls” and has written two novels, “The Hottest
State” (in 1996) and “Ash Wednesday” (in 2002).
