Final two further bodies recovered from Spanair crash site
The last two further bodies were recovered Thursday from the crash site of the Spanair plane at Madrid airport, rescue officials said, bringing the search action at the site to a close.

Benjamin Olivares, head of the airport fire department, said the victims were those of an infant baby and an adult.

The find did nothing to change the previous official death toll of 153, but that now the search for any further victims could be halted, he said.

There were 19 surivors of the original passenger and crew total of 172 on board the MD-80 plane which crashed on take-off on Wednesday.
