Gale Harold, new Susan’s boyfriend in “Desperate Housewives” has been involved in a terrible motorcycle accident and he is now in a critical condition. Adelaida De La Cerda, USC Medical Center spokeswoman, said that the actor was taken further tests to see his exact condition. Publicist Nancy Seltzer added on Wednesday that Harold wounded his shoulder. Marc Cherry, “Desperate Housewives” creator and executive producer, also stated that Harold apparently has swelling on the brain but he is expected to recover and take his Jackson role back in the serial, where he is Susan Meyer’s boyfriend. Handsome Gale Harold’s most important role was in 2000 in “Queer as Folk,” a Showtime’s popular gay drama, where he interpreted an unapologetic homosexual named Brian Kinney. Brian Kinney's character, as well as the show itself, elicited quite a great deal of controversy. Even if the show was so popular, it ended in 2005 after five successful seasons. After that, the actor returned on stage on November 15, 2006 in New York to play in Tennessee Williams' play “Suddenly Last Summer,” where he interpreted the role of Dr. Cukrowicz. In 2007, Harold appeared in a guest role in “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC, where he played Sean, a paramedic and white supremacist with a swastika tattooed on his abdomen, who is injured in an ambulance crash. Since May, 2008, Harold has been playing in “Desperate Housewives” and its producers hope for Harold to get better as soon as possible.
