After numerous infanticide cases occurring in Germany in recent years, another shocking event was revealed Monday by police.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of having killed three of her babies.

The little bodies were discovered Sunday by two of the woman’s grown children, who were looking in the refrigerator for food and decided to clean it up, as it was full of expired products. They found three little packages, wrapped in plastic and when they opened them they noticed there where children and not edibles in there.

This happened while the parents where out for the weekend in the Black Forest. When the two returned, they went to the police station, accompanied by their 24-year-old daughter.

One of the babies was wrapped in a newspaper dated from 1988, which made the investigators think that baby died that year.

There are assumptions that the woman kept the three pregnancies secret when she carried them. Being overweight, it is not hard to believe that she succeeded to do so.

The woman is currently under medical control, for she is suspected to have mental disorders. She was to be interrogated later Monday, as Ewald Weinberger, the prosecutors’ spokesman informs Agence France-Presse.
