Paul Starzyk, a Sergeant of the Martinez police, was killed during the exchange of the gun shots which happened inside the apartment complex. He was a 12-year veteran of the force and he was quickly taken to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
The man who shot and killed the two hasn’t been identified yet, but police officers managed to kill him after he had shot Starzyk and the female. On Monday, the two identities are expected to be revealed by the authorities.
