Head-On Confrontation Between Cramer and Stewart Scores Big
Thursday night’s highly anticipated installment of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart,” which brought CNBC financial expert Jim Cramer and the host of the program together in a head-on confrontation, registered some impressive ratings, the cable network announced on Friday.

The show drew approximately 2.3 million viewers, thus becoming this year’s second most-watched episode of “The Daily Show,” behind only the installment that aired on Inauguration Day and was watched by some 2.6 million people. In addition, Thursday’s episode was on the whole among the top 10 shows in the twelve and a half-year history of the pseudo news bulletin.

Although comedian Jon Stewart and financial analyst Jim Cramer had assumed a fighting stance over CNBC’s exposure of Wall Street just before the market decline, the two personalities eventually shook hands and agreed to, well, mind their own business.
Jim Cramer decided to make an appearance on Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” after the latter repeatedly poked fun at the host of “Mad Money” by claiming he and other network reporters had befriended various executives and government officials and delivered erroneous information to the public.

Throughout the show, however, Jim Cramer, who offers advice and instructions with regard to stock market on his CNBC program, explained that Jon Stewart only chose examples of wrong suggestions he had made and tried to shed a better light on himself and his show.

“Maybe we can ... start getting back to fundamentals on the reporting, and I can go back to making fart noises and funny faces,” Jon Stewart said in an attempt to conclude the little screen confrontation, while an unruffled Jim Cramer agreed before the two shook hands.
