It appears that Shannen Doherty
is involved in serious negotiations to appear in the forthcoming remake of "Beverly Hills 90210,"
reprising her role as Brenda Walsh.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Doherty is
showing interest in reprising her role on the spinoff, called "90210."
The new producers, Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judahshe, say the actress "wants to
know what the story is going to be first.”
The renowned artist starred in
the original "Beverly Hills,
90210" from 1990 to 1994. She left the successful TV series after several conflicts.
Aside from the fact that she and co-star Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) didn’t get along well, Shannen
Doherty repeatedly quarreled with other actresses, like Tori Spelling (Donna
Martin). What is more, she was charged with driving under the influence of the
alcohol.
Up to now, Jennie and Tori have signed
on to reprise their former characters in the show that made them renowned. Jennie
Garth said she wouldn’t disapprove Shannen coming back: "A lot of time has
passed, and I'm a big girl. I'd have no problem with her coming on the show.”
She will not appear regularly, playing a guidance therapist at her alma mater.
