Janet Jackson, 42, was taken to the hospital before her concert in Montreal, Canada. She seemed to have “got suddenly ill” during her sound check, according to her publicist. Jackson was released from hospital two hours after she had been admitted. The personnel from Royal Victoria Hospital didn’t give any further details about the singer’s condition. Still, her representatives said that she is ill and recuperating. Since her “Rock Withcu” tour began, Jackson already postponed two of her concerts, one in Detroit, on Friday, and the one in Montreal, where she was supposed to sing the first time in seven years. The last time she performed in the Canadian city was when she had sung with ”Jacksons Five.” Now, the 42-year-old singer also canceled her concerts in Boston, which was supposed to take place on Wednesday, and her show in Philadelphia from Thursday because of her mysterious disease. Her tour began on September 10 in Vancouver and it had to be her first tour to promote her latest album, “Discipline.” Yet, Jackson plans to cancel all of her concerts in North Carolina this Saturday. Janet Jackson started her career back in 1974, at the age of seven, when she appeared on stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a show at the MGM Casino. She began her career as an actress on the CBS variety show “The Jacksons” in 1976. Recently, the singer closed her contract with Island Def Jam records after she had been working with them for 14 months.
