Lindsay Lohan’s divorced parents appeared in a Nassau County
courtroom on Tuesday over allegations that Michael Lohan does not have enough
access to his two youngest children, Aliana, 14, and Dakota, 11. Both of them
live in Merrick with Dina Lohan. Michael Lohan’s
ex-wife.
After the closed-door session with the two sides, Family
Court Judge Stacey Bennett said she was encouraged that “the parties and
counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and
the father,” E! online reports.
Michael Lohan said Dina missed 19 out 31 appointments he had
with his kids. “Now, I’m giving her one last chance to let me see them one day
a week, on my own, and to go to therapy with them one day a week. If not, we’ll
drag this through court again,” he declared, quoted by the same source. He
added that his former wife is acting like a “diva” ever since she has her own
reality show.
“All I want is for her to live up to what she agree to and
stop missing our meetings. When the time comes, she always has an excuse, and I
am tired of it,” Michael Lohan said.
Bennett scheduled a follow-up hearing for July, 14.
Lindsay, 21, and her brother Michael, 19, are now of age, so
they were not involved in the Lohans’ legal struggle.
