In the Lost drama universe, he is the one to follow the
others’ lives. In real life, he is followed by the police, like any other of
us. Actor Daniel Dae Kim, who walks in tough
guy Jin-Soo Kwon’s shoes in ABC’s famous series was arrested in the small hours
on Thursday on DUI charges.
After staying 2
hours in the police custody at the Honolulu Police station, Kim was released on a $500 bail at about 5
a.m. His blood-alcohol concentration was found twice as high as the legal limit
of .08, his being of .168. He is due to appear in court on November 23 at the Honolulu
District Court.
Officers said that the South-Korean actor was respectful and
created no problems during his two-hour stay at the police.
It seems that there is some epidemic that hounds the Lost crew,
Kim being the forth actor of the cast to be arrested due to traffic violations
in Hawaii. Michelle
Rodriguez (known as Ana Lucia in the series) and Cynthia Watros (as Libby) speeded
over he legal limit in 2005, the former receiving a five-day jail sentence and a
$357 fine. The later had a 90-day suspension of her driving license and paid
$312 in fines.
Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) got arrested the last
year for disobeying a traffic officer and driving without a license, but the
charges were later withdrawn.
