US Weekly magazine reported on its Web site that the New York Yankees
star player Alex Rodriguez was a midnight guest at Madonna’s apartment in New York City.
“All the doormen are talking” about the
visits, said a source, adding that the baseball player stays as late as
midnight.
As childishly simple as it may sound, the
media reported he also went to the Material Girl’s concert in the Big Apple and
she sat in Alex’s seats at the June 22nd Yankees home game.
“Madonna and Alex have the same manager,
Guy Oseary,” Madonna’s longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg was quoted as saying
by E! Online. “They have met. They know each other, and Madonna took her kids
to a Yankees game last week. There's really not anything to comment on beyond
that.” She insisted that Madonna and Guy Ritchie are not splitting up, “There
are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”
The couple had time for a late romantic husband
and wife dinner on the roof of their building, accompanied by the atmosphere
created by Ella Fitzgerald’s music. Ritchie, 39, plans a huge party to mark Madge’s
50th birthday in August, a friend of the couple said, according to the Daily
Mail.
Madonna’s mother-in-law denies the reports
saying that the singer has consulted with a divorce lawyer and she described
the reports that her son and pop singer are preparing for divorce as “works of
fiction.”
