A market research company called Mintel carried out a study on over 750 sunscreens, and discovered that most of the products fail to protect the skin against the harmful rays of the Sun.

However, although they fail to meet the criteria for safety and efficiency, experts would not advise users to purge the emulsions use because the risk of developing skin cancer would increase.

Protection from the sun’s harmful rays is very important during the summer season. This is the motive why staying out of the sun when it is hottest and wearing sun-hats or other accessories that protect the skin is recommended. And while laying in the sun, people are advised to use sunscreens with a Sun Protection Factor rating of 15 or higher.
