Mark Wahlberg To Be Max Payne
Mark Wahlberg is definitely one busy actor.

After signing in for The Lovely Bones project in the last second, taking Ryan Gosling’s part as the grieving father of the murdered girl in the Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the Alice Sebold homonymic novel, he is now tackling anew challenge.

Rockstar bestselling videogame Max Payne is due to become a live-action adaptation and Wahlberg is negotiating with Twentieth Century Fox, hoping to receive the starring role as the courageous police officer. Max Payne is a cop that is continuously followed by the memory of the murdering of his family.

Payne makes exemptions from many rules when he is determined to discover the killers in a long series of murders. But in his stamina-full investigation he also learns that he is the target of those searched and will have to take double care.

Max Payne, the movie, will follow the script written by Beau Thorne. Julie Yorn and Scott Faye will collaborate in the production under the Firm Films, while John Moore will be the director.

Mark Wahlberg has just finished filming Fox’s The Happening, under the direction of M. Night Shyamalan, a movie whose release date is scheduled for June 13, 2008. He co-stars with Zooey Deschanel.

Wahlberg is nominated this year for an Academy Award for best supporting actor for his outstanding performance in Martin Scorsese's The Departed.
