Mark Wahlberg is definitely one
busy actor.
After signing in for The Lovely
Bones project in the last second, taking Ryan Gosling’s part as the grieving
father of the murdered girl in the Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the Alice
Sebold homonymic novel, he is now tackling anew challenge.

Max Payne is due to become a live-action adaptation and Wahlberg is negotiating
with Twentieth Century Fox, hoping to receive the starring role as the courageous
police officer. Max Payne is a cop that is continuously followed by the memory
of the murdering of his family.
Payne makes exemptions from many
rules when he is determined to discover the killers in a long series of
murders. But in his stamina-full investigation he also learns that he is the
target of those searched and will have to take double care.
Max Payne, the movie, will follow
the script written by Beau Thorne. Julie Yorn and Scott Faye will collaborate
in the production under the Firm Films, while John Moore will be the director.
Mark Wahlberg has just finished
filming Fox’s The Happening, under the direction of M. Night Shyamalan, a movie
whose release date is scheduled for June 13, 2008. He co-stars with Zooey
Deschanel.
Wahlberg is nominated this year
for an Academy Award for best supporting actor for his outstanding performance
in Martin Scorsese's The Departed.
