“People” magazine’s 2005 sexiest man alive is now sexiest soon-to-become dad alive, as Matthew McConaughey announced on his Web site that he and his girlfriend are expecting a baby.

McConaughey and Brazilian model Camila Alves have been together for a little more than a year and, as the actor stated on his Web site, they had been trying to have a baby for some months.

Well, now it finally happened and the “Sahara” star talked about the great news in exquisite words. “Got some blessed news … a celebration of life and bounty … a newborn conceived … yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together,” he said. “We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God,” the 38-year old star further added.

Also, the actor’s publicist Alan Nierob confirmed the news to the Associated Press, describing McConaughey as “excited.”

The Texas native announced that Alves’ three-month pregnancy was going well.

“The Wedding Planner” star dated in the past  Sandra Bullock, Penelope Cruz, with whom he had been for two years. He met Cruz on the set of “Sahara,” but their relationship didn’t last longer than June 2006.  He also gave it a try with Lance Armstrong, the champion cyclist.

In the February issue of “Playboy” McConaughey stated that he was no “womanizer” or “player.” He revealed what a girl should not do if she wanted to keep him close to her: change him. Well, we definitely know now Camila’s secret!

Matthew McConaughey is releasing his next movie the next month, called “Fool’s God.”
