McCain Likes Reggaeton! Daddy Yankee Subscribes
John McCain, 72, is the senior United States Senator from Arizona and a presumptive nominee in the 2008 presidential election for the Republican Party.  "I'm not running for President to be somebody, but to do something; to do the hard but necessary things not the easy and needless things," McCain said when he announced his intention to run for President of the United States on April 25, 2007.

McCain turned 72 on Friday and on Monday night he was invited to NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” He made jokes with Jay Leno about his birthday and so many years that he has, when the host of the show said: "We were going to have a cake, but the fire marshal said 'that many candles?' "

The Senator invited Daddy Yankee, 31, at the show on Monday, after he had introduced him at a high school in Arizona. The Reggaeton star from Puerto Rico made a fulminate appearance as he embraced some female students and received joy screams from the audience.

Daddy Yankee’s first album was entitled “No Mercy” and was released in 1995 when he was only 18 years old. He had no success with it, but he continued performing reggaeton for the next ten years, forming a duet with Nicky Jam. His last album “El Cartel: The Big Boss” sold 500,000 units at the moment of release in the United States and 50,000 in Mexico.

“He’s always been a fighter for the Hispanic community,” McCain told the reports about Daddy Yankee. The performer showed some political skills when he was asked about his famous song “Gasolina.” As reports asked him what the song is about, he answered “energy independence.”
