British actress Natasha Richardson was hospitalized on Monday afternoon in Montreal due to a serious head injury she had suffered, according to published reports. Moreover, the 45-year-old was in critical condition following a ski accident in Quebec. In spite of the fact that People.com and IrishCentral.com initially reported that the Tony Award-winning actress was in a Montreal hospital after sustaining the severe injuries on Monday, People magazine subsequently reported online that Natasha Richardson was at first transported to a hospital in the vicinity of the luxury Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec and was later transferred to the Montreal center. Natasha Richardson is the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and the late director Tony Richardson. Her first marriage was to filmmaker Robert Fox, but the couple divorced after two years of marriage in 1992. She has been married to Irish actor Liam Neeson since late 1994, following their appearance in the film “Nell.” The two have two sons together: 13-year-old Micheal Richard Antonio and 12-year-old Daniel Jack. Natasha Richardson won a Tony Award for best actress in a musical in 1998 for her part in “Cabaret.” In addition, her movie credits comprise “The Parent Trap” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.” A couple of months ago, Richardson and her fellow actress mother played the roles of mother and daughter during a one-night benefit concert version of “A Little Night Music,” the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical. The event took place at the Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York.
