Britney Spears’ new advertise video for the VMA this year is out. The pop-star is joking with Russell Brand, the MTV’s Video Music Awards host in the two commercials for the show. The background of the videos also includes a 9,000 lb. elephant.
Russell Brand asks the singer “You are Britney Spears, right? I’m not dreaming this am I?” while Britney Spears is looking very well like nothing changed her former career. “No, this is real,” she assures the British comedian and she pinches him to prove it to.
In the second video, Russell Brand tries to make Britney Spears remember his full name, as she fakes it to have forgotten it. "You will remember that name because I think pretty soon it's going to be your surname," he quips. "Britney Brand."
If Britney Spears’ presence to the VMA’s wasn’t confirmed by the MTV, the new spots look to be a promising sign. The pop-star was nominated 17 times but didn’t go home with any prize.
This year, she is nominated twice, for best female video and best pop video with the video of “Piece of me.” The show will be placed at Paramount Studios in the famous and glamorous city of Hollywood and it will start at 9 a.m. ET/PT and will be the 25th story of the great VMA!
As it was announced, Britney Spears will compete for Best Female Music Video against Kat Perry for "I Kissed a Girl," Rihanna for “Take a Bow,” Mariah Carey for “Touch my Body “and Jordin Sparks for “No Air.”
It seems that Britney Spears’ presence at the competition was asked for thousands of votes on VMA.MTV.com, after last year she made a fool of herself by appearing nervous on the stage and out-of-shape, ruining what was supposed to be her fully comeback. Let’s hope for a glamorous come back this year!
