Nintendo DSi Goes on Sale in the United States

A new version of the popular game DS handheld from Nintendo will be released for sale in the United States. The Nintendo DSi will be on the market starting April 5 this year and will cost $170. In addition, this new version comes in two choices, black or blue and has a lot more functionality than the previous model.

A slimmer and shinny profile together with a slightly larger display screens will also be a part of this new game. Besides, the DSi has two cameras, one for taking pictures of others and one, which is internal, for taking pictures of the person holding the system.

Some of these features have also been incorporated into some games that had already been released for the Japanese Dsi, which came on sale since November. Also the photos can be send wireless between two DSi systems and they can be attached several effects. The users might also add effects after the picture was taken.

The Nintendo DSi has an SD card which allows the buyers to storage additional pictures. This comes besides the internal memory and has space to add digital music files too in the AAC format of the iTunes. An audio player allows you to interfere with the speed of the songs and the one of the recorded sounds, also having a microphone incorporated.

Thus, karaoke games can be played too.

A DSi Ware shop will be opened as to permit the buyers of the new Nintendo version to download games. Yet, the DSi will not include the slot for inserting Game Boy Advance games, as the original DS had.

there is a lot of new and cool things added to this thing, but the simple fact that you can't play any of the regular DS games on it, makes me wonder if the system will really live up to the reviews.

All the regular DS games will work, the GBA ones won't work.
