Although Nokia’s E65 mobile phone
has been one of the best selling items and a real profit generator for the
popular Finnish cell phone making company, a drop of price has eventually hit
this phone too. This week, Nokia has cut the E65’s price around 15 percent off,
in a move that hasn’t quite surprised the analysts of the mobile phone
industry.
Although the drop of price has
been deeper than usual, the analysts have said that the period of time when
Nokia has decided to cut E65’s price is normal, as all the handset vendors are
now already preparing for the upcoming winter holyday sales season.
However, till now the Finnish
company has sold no less than one million of its 3G mobile phone model in the
second quarter, which has made it one of the top three product of the company. On
the 18th of October Nokia will also report the July – September results,
but the annalist have already said they expect that E65 has been a hit phone
also in the third quarter of the year.
Now, that its price has been cut,
E65 competes in the same price category with other rival hit mobile phones,
such as Samsung’s U600 or Sony Ericsson’s K810i.
