Former sportsman and double murder acquittee O.J. Simpson
has set a new goal and is doing his best to accomplish it: he is yearning for making
an appearance in the next season of “Celebrity Apprentice.”
Well, that’s a new one. First of all, we weren’t at least
certain that there would be a next season of the NBC’s hit show. Secondly, and
most important, what in the world would do O.J. Simpson in the show?
The New York Post reported in its Page Six column that a
source disclosed the sportsman’s desire to appear on the show and had been in
talks with NBC and Donald Trump, however, it was still unclear what would be
the result of his struggle.
“Simpson really wants to do it. Trump and NBC are thinking
about it, but are being very cautious. There’s a certain amount of heat
associated with Simpson,” the New York Post quoted the source as saying.
Now wait a minute. Why is Simpson so controversial? Apart
from murdering his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ronald Goldman and
getting away with it and writing a book about that and than stealing his own
plus other’s sport memorabilia stint last fall, what the poor man do? (just
kiddin’)
If NBC decides, however, to give a green light to the
American football star’s desire, it’s easy to guess what would happen. People
will be so masochistically eager to see him and the rating will boost
considerable, followed by a public outcry to ban the show.
