The resume of the Olsen twins will be augmented with
something new.
Apart from their acting career and their fashion business,
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are making their debut in writing, announcing that
they will soon become authors of a book called “Influence.”
The book will bear the signature of the Olsen twins and will
be published by Penguin, as celebrity magazine “People” reported on Wednesday
on its web site. The publication will feature the artists and fashion designers
that that had a strong influence upon them.
Their culture in fashion has been shaped by heavy names,
like shoe designer Christian Louboutin, model/actress Lauren Hutton and writer Bob
Colacello. Also, tribute will be paid to photographers Terry Richardson and
Jack Pierson, and jewelry designer Robert Lee Morris and their outstanding
work that has been an inspiration for the twins over the last decade. The “Full
House” twins see them as mentors that not only offered them inspiration, but
also the practical help they needed to initiate their careers in business. Ashley
and Mary-Kate have their own designer clothing lines, The Row and Eliabeth and
James.
“Influence” will be a coffee-table book that will include
interviews taken by the 21-year old girls, but also exclusive photographs of
them, never-seen-before materials. Penguin and the Olsens have already signed
the deal. We wish the fashionistas good luck in their new approach!
