British media reported that the sale of postcards featuring Princess Diana has been banned at shops attached to royal places. The media speculates that the cause of this ban may be the the 10th anniversary of Diana's death in August.

An official of Royal collection, the authority which runs the shops at Buckingham Palace and other royal residences confirmed that Princess Diana postcards would no longer be sold, but denied there is an imposed ban.

But the critics believe that the ban showed the royal family and their advisers were still uncomfortable with Diana's legacy amid fears that her image would outsell those of Queen Elizabeth II and every other member of the family.

"Many of the people who visit Buckingham Palace and the other royal residences are still big Diana fans. I would have thought it would have been a big money-spinner for them," said Alan Berry, co- founder of the Diana Appreciation Society.

Diana's two sons, the princes William and Harry, have organized a pop concert in her memory on July 1, which would have been her 46th birthday.
