Ready for Departure: Yahoo! Inc.’s Chief Marketing Officer

Another important person will be leaving Yahoo! Inc. at the end of this month. According to a statement coming from the company itself, Cammie Dunaway, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, is ready to leave the famous Internet company.

Cammie Dunaway will be only the latest executive to leave Yahoo! Inc., which is currently in transition. "Since joining Yahoo in 2003, Cammie has built an award-winning direct-marketing team, improved the company's customer insights and found creative ways to improve our brand.” – the Yahoo! Inc. statement has said, adding also that: "Cammie has strengthened the marketing function and built a strong bench of creative talent. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her leadership, dedication and all that she has contributed to Yahoo."

Still, the reasons for the executive have not been made public till now by the company. A gossip web site has said that she will in fact take a new position that she has described as "a natural fit for someone who loves driving profitable revenue for big, well-loved consumer brands and can't pass up the opportunity to be the coolest Mom in the universe."

However, no matter what her reason has been to leave Yahoo! Inc., Cammie Dunaway is one of the toughest marketing people of the world! She has a MBA from Harvard and she has been also named by “Advertising Age” one of the 100 top marketers.

Cammie Dunaway is only the latest departure from a series for Yahoo! Inc., which is currently reorganizing and redefining its mission because of the latest disappointing financial reports. Struggling to make a living on a market pressured by Google Inc.’s dominance, Yahoo! Inc.’s live is quite a difficult one in the current period.
