troubled singer Britney Spears has finally obtained the
permission to visit her children. The 26-year-old pop star spent Saturday
almost three hours with 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden
James. The visit comes after a two-month break, as Spears had previously
seen her children on January 3rd.
According to People magazine the encounter occurred at the
pop singer’s house where her father James Spears and her psychiatrist were present in
order to make sure that the meeting goes well. A source told the magazine that
“The real hero was James. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again.”
People reports that after the mother-children encounter,
Spears went out for the evening accompanied by her father, an assistant, a
friend and two bodyguards. They went to Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills at about
8:00 p.m. The singer’s evening didn’t turn out to be a very smooth one because
a host of paparazzi followed her.
It was only with the help of the restaurant’s staff that the
group managed to exit. A chef told People “It was like being in a war zone, I
almost lost my hat.”
Britney Spears was finally allowed to see her two children
after her and Kevin Federline’s lawyers agreed on a visitation structure. Mark Vincent Kaplan, Federline’s attorney declared for People:
“We’re pleased that…the process of reinstating the children’s mother as a
participant in their lives can commence.”
Elliot Mintz, a spokesman for Federline said according to
The Daily News that all these happened only because of the help that James
Spears gave to his daughter. “James Spears went a long way in terms of
stabilizing an environment that surrounded Britney which was wildly in flux. It
is clear Britney is in a different place now that she was a week or two ago.” In the past few years the pop singer went out of control. She was hospitalized two times, the last time being on January 31st. Because of this she was declared unable to take care of herself. As a result, her father took control over her and over her bussiness affairs.
