Steve Jobs Is Unlikely to Return to Apple’s Board

Apple officials tried very hard to keep Steve Jobs away from all the rumors in the press. Even if many people inside the company believe that Jobs will never return to the helm at Apple, the officials at the company insisted on Wednesday in front of the investors that CEO Steve Jobs will do return from the medical leave he performed in June.

The same spokespersons argued about all the disclosures toward the leader’s health condition. In addition, Arthur Levinson, one of the board members told the ones attending the annual meeting of the shareholders in Cupertino that they are too discussing about a secret succession plan if Jobs won’t be able to come back at Apple.

Levinson, also the CEO of Genentech, added that if there will be any important news or decision to be announced, the board members at Apple will surely do that. He also said that they had told the press everything they needed to know until now.

Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer, which he managed to survive, but couldn’t continue his leading work at Apple. On January 14, Jobs announced the company that he would step away from his duties for some time as to have the necessary time to deal his health problems.

Jobs added back then that the disease he had, turned out to be more complex that he had thought and didn’t blame the hormone imbalance this time. The shareholders meeting from Wednesday had been the only meeting Jobs didn’t attend since he has been working for Apple.

Investors have been strongly concerned about Jobs’ health and his condition arrested the attention of the Securities and Exchange Commission, which launched some further question on whether Apple has thoroughly disclosed all the necessary information on Jobs’ condition.
