The Would-Be Madam Of Crystal – Heidi Fleiss
A documentary about Heidi Fleiss, known as the “Hollywood Madam,” premiers tonight on HBO. Entitled “Heidi Fleiss: The Would-Be Madam of Crystal,” the 70-minutes documentary will present her efforts to fund a brothel catering to women.

In the 1990s Ms. Fleiss earned her nickname for running a call-girl ring and being charged with prostitution. The filmmakers draw her life in that period of time but focus on what Ms. Fleiss has been doing lately. Living in Nevada at the moment, she has been trying to create an authorized brothel in the city of Crystal. Fleiss’s idea was to put men for sale, rather than women, the wished-for name being the Stud Farm. But her plans to open a house of prostitution have been delayed because of a 'slight complication'.

Almost ten years have passed since Ms. Fleiss got out of jail, where she had spent 21 months of a three-year sentence for tax evasion, money laundering and pandering. Among other things, Fleiss is famous for the "sex tips" DVD she released and the radio show. Owner of the West Hollywood boutique “Hollywood Madam,” she sold the rights to her life story to Paramount Pictures. In 2003 she accused a former boyfriend, actor Tom Sizemore, of domestic violence and other threatening behavior. Currently, she is writing in Maxim Magazine's "Ask Heidi" column.
